Terms of Service
Effective date: July 15, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Writezy, including the website located at writezy.studio, the Writezy application, and any related services we provide.
Writezy is operated by Writezy.ai (“Writezy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using Writezy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.
1. About Writezy
Writezy is a writing and organization tool that provides a text editor, visual canvas, document storage, images, notes, folders, aliases, and other tools intended to help users write and organize creative work.
We may add, remove, improve, or modify features over time. Some features may be identified as beta, experimental, early access, or still in development.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Writezy.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Writezy only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You may not use Writezy if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law.
3. Your Account
Some features require you to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information current. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity occurring through your account.
Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You may not:
Share your account in a way that allows multiple people to avoid purchasing their own accounts;
Impersonate another person or organization;
Create accounts through unauthorized automated methods;
Sell, transfer, or sublicense access to your account; or
Use another person’s account without permission.
We may suspend or restrict an account when reasonably necessary to protect Writezy, its users, or the security of the service.
4. Your Content
“Your Content” means the documents, text, images, notes, files, project information, and other materials you upload, create, store, or organize through Writezy.
You retain ownership of Your Content.
Using Writezy does not transfer ownership of your writing or other materials to us.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display Your Content only as reasonably necessary to:
Provide and operate Writezy;
Save and synchronize your work;
Display your work back to you;
Create backups;
Prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
Provide customer support at your request; and
Comply with applicable law.
This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our active systems, subject to reasonable backup, archival, legal, and technical retention periods.
We do not claim the right to publish, sell, or commercially exploit your writing merely because you store it in Writezy.
5. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring that you have the rights necessary to upload and use it.
You agree not to upload, create, store, or distribute content that:
Violates another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights;
Is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or intentionally deceptive;
Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
Promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
Exploits or endangers minors;
Is used to harass, threaten, or abuse another person; or
Interferes with the security or operation of Writezy.
Creative writing may naturally contain fictional violence, mature themes, disturbing ideas, or controversial material. The presence of those subjects in a fictional or artistic work does not automatically violate these Terms. Context matters. We are not here to police whether your villain is sufficiently polite.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not:
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Writezy or another user’s account;
Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without written permission;
Circumvent usage, storage, security, or access restrictions;
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract Writezy’s source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or automated systems to access the service without permission;
Overload, disrupt, damage, or interfere with the service;
Use Writezy to send spam or distribute malicious software;
Resell or provide Writezy as a competing hosted service without written permission; or
Use the service in a manner that violates applicable law.
We may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable action, including restricting or terminating access.
7. Subscriptions and Payment
Certain Writezy features may require a paid subscription.
Prices, billing periods, storage allowances, trial periods, and included features will be shown before you subscribe. Unless otherwise stated, subscription fees are charged in advance.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the applicable fees and taxes to your selected payment method.
Subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
You can cancel your subscription through your account settings or through the cancellation method made available to you. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not ordinarily provide a refund for time already billed.
We may change subscription prices or included features. When required, we will provide advance notice before a pricing change applies to your next renewal.
Payment processing may be handled by a third-party provider. We do not directly store complete payment-card details.
8. Trials and Early Access
Writezy may offer free trials, discounted early-access pricing, promotional plans, or limited-access features.
Trial eligibility and duration may vary. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, a trial may convert into a paid subscription when this was clearly disclosed during signup.
Early-access and beta features may be incomplete, change substantially, contain errors, or be discontinued. You should maintain independent copies of important work while using experimental features.
Promotional or early-access pricing may be subject to separate conditions presented at the time of purchase.
9. Storage and Backups
Your plan may include a stated amount of file or storage capacity.
You are responsible for keeping independent backups of work that is important to you. We take reasonable measures to protect and preserve user data, but no online service can guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, delayed, or unavailable.
We may limit uploads that exceed your storage allowance or violate technical restrictions.
If your subscription ends, we may limit your ability to create or upload additional content. We will make reasonable efforts to provide an opportunity to retrieve or export existing content before permanently deleting it, unless deletion is required for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.
10. Writezy’s Intellectual Property
Writezy and its associated software, interface, design, branding, logos, graphics, documentation, and original content are owned by Writezy or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
These Terms give you permission to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Writezy’s software, branding, or technology to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative commercial products from Writezy itself unless we give you written permission or applicable law allows it.
11. Feedback
You may choose to send us feedback, suggestions, ideas, or feature requests.
You grant us permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation. This does not give us ownership of your documents, stories, characters, or other creative content merely because they appear in a support message or feature request.
12. Third-Party Services
Writezy may depend on third-party services for functions such as authentication, hosting, storage, payments, email delivery, analytics, or error monitoring.
Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party products or services that we do not control, though we will make reasonable efforts to choose and maintain providers suitable for operating Writezy.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
By using Writezy, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in that policy.
14. Copyright Complaints
We respect intellectual-property rights.
If you believe material available through Writezy infringes your copyright, please contact us and include:
Identification of the copyrighted work;
Identification of the allegedly infringing material;
Your contact information;
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized;
A statement that the information you provide is accurate; and
Your physical or electronic signature.
Copyright notices may be sent to:
Email: edwin@writezy.ai
We may remove or restrict access to allegedly infringing material when appropriate.
15. Service Availability
We work to keep Writezy available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical failures, provider outages, security concerns, or circumstances outside our control.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Writezy. When practical, we will provide notice of material changes that significantly affect paid users.
16. Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Writezy at any time. You may also request deletion of your account through the available account controls or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
You materially violate these Terms;
Your use creates a security or legal risk;
Payment remains overdue;
Your account is used fraudulently;
We are required to do so by law; or
Continuing to provide the service is no longer reasonably feasible.
When appropriate, we will attempt to provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue before terminating an account.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions—will remain in effect.
17. Disclaimers
Writezy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that:
Writezy will always be available or free of errors;
Every feature will remain available;
Your Content will never be lost or corrupted;
The service will meet every particular creative or professional need; or
Defects will always be corrected immediately.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Writezy and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to Writezy will not exceed the greater of:
The amount you paid to Writezy during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
One hundred U.S. dollars.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including where prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Writezy harmless from third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from:
Your Content;
Your unlawful or unauthorized use of Writezy;
Your violation of these Terms; or
Your violation of another person’s rights.
This section does not require you to indemnify Writezy for its own fraud, willful misconduct, or violation of law.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [INSERT STATE OF FORMATION OR OPERATION], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Any legal proceeding relating to these Terms or Writezy must be brought in the state or federal courts located in [INSERT COUNTY AND STATE], unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
You and Writezy consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Writezy changes.
When changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, by email, or by updating the effective date on this page.
Your continued use of Writezy after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a material change, you may stop using the service and cancel your subscription.
22. General Terms
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a particular feature or subscription, form the agreement between you and Writezy.
If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our permission. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, asset sale, or similar transaction.
Headings are included for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
